Foundation Construction Process

Depending on the structural study and requirements, the foundation is constructed either with a general bedding (raft foundation) or with isolated footings. Following consultation and needs, various construction actions can be taken, such as:

– Construction of a simple foundation

– Construction of a basement

– Construction of a pile foundation.

Foundation Construction Stages:

  1. **Concrete Bedding:** Before the foundation work and excavation, a layer of plain concrete with a quality of C16/20 and a thickness of 10cm is created across the entire seating area of the foundations. This secures the concrete and reinforcement of the foundations from the corrosive action of the soil, achieving complete levelness.
  2. **Marking Foundation Elements:** Marking of foundation elements according to the drawings of the structural study.
  3. **Foundation Construction:** The foundation is constructed either with a general bedding (raft foundation) or with isolated footings.
  4. **Reinforcement Placement:** After the formwork process of the foundation elements, the reinforcement is placed.
  5. **Foundation Earthing:** This step involves grounding the foundation.
  6. **Concrete Pouring:** Pouring of concrete for the foundation – filling the formwork for basement construction. We level and compact the fresh concrete within the formwork. In cases of extreme temperatures with very high or very low temperatures (freezing, heatwave), concrete pouring works may not be carried out. The required strength of the concrete can be influenced by prevailing weather conditions. Therefore, the environmental temperature plays a significant role in determining when this step can be executed.
